When buying a house, one of the most important things to consider before the house is the neighborhood. Are you buying into the right neighborhood? Remember, once you have bought the house, a lot of things can be changed therein, but very little can be done to change your neighborhood. So, before making any offer, check the potential home’s situation. Look at the actual site of the house., If it is on a hill, does it have a wonderful vista? a basement? stairs to climb? Is the house easily seen from your neighbor’s windows? Does the house offer privacy? Does it have a yard fit for children, pets or gardening?

If you are looking for an “ideal” neighborhood, I’d say, you can go right back where you came from. Why? Because nothing in life is perfect. Ergo, nothing is “ideal”. But finding the right neighborhood could mean a lot of things like, security, convenience, comfort or ambiance and a host of other things. Finding the right neighborhood is subjective. For the young, single homebuyers, a great neighborhood means an urban scenario close to theater, restaurants, the work and entertainment areas. Although cities have higher crime rates, they also have qualities which can be considered attractive like convenience and cultural venues and activities.
For those with families, an “ideal” neighborhood means an area with schools, church, children’s parks, zoos, water recreational facilities, children’s museums and groceries. A lower crime rate, less noise and traffic also goes with it. Prospective home buyers can get in touch with the homeowner’s association or they can talk to neighbors. To satisfy themselves regarding the safety of a particular neighborhood, they can go directly to the nearest police station and inquire about crime rate and security. Collate and process all pertinent information regarding the neighborhood. Finally, you can come up with your own decision. Remember, the neighborhood you’re buying into is as important as the value of the house you are buying. It is good advice to choose your neighborhood first before choosing a house.

Choosing the right location for your home is one of the most important decisions you’ll have to make. It’s a commitment that calls for research, foresight and common sense. First, look at the property values in your area. If it’s held steady or even increased with these trying economic times, then the property is a good investment. Next, look at the accessibility and the location. Is it near your work? Is there a good transportation system? Is there any mall, shops or groceries near your area? How close is the nearest hospital or clinic? How close is your kid’s school, and what’s the reputation of the school system in your area? Other factors, such as traffic should be considered as well. If you’re a parent, the crime rate may be of particular importance. Who doesn’t feel the need to be in a place where they’ll feel safe? The size of your neighborhood is also a factor you have to consider. Do you want a small community where everybody knows everyone’s business, or a large, impersonal one? Of course, a good real estate agent will help narrow down your choices for you.

Situated in Atlanta, home to the famous Coca Cola Company is where Candler Park is. It is spread across 55acres of lush greenery and has beautifully landscaped garden making it one of the central attractions of this township. Candler Park Real estate owes its name to Asa Candler, the man who donated the land to this city. This park offers tennis court, basketball court, and even an outdoor pool for people to spend their leisure time and rejoice in. And the one other unique feature in the park is its 9hole golf course, which winds its scenic way through the East side’s pleasant residential neighborhoods. Even though this park is not the quietest place, it is still the most preferred, for the entire family can spend time and do something they like.

A place that will make you realize the true value of bonding and family values is what makes Candler Park Real estate so special. People here live in complete harmony and are close knit, the community society meets often and makes sure the lives of the residents in the town are protected and the surroundings preserved.

Choosing the Right Spot for the Ideal Neighborhood for your Dream Home
Choosing Your Ideal Neighborhood
For many people, choosing a neighborhood is the most difficult part of the decision to buy a home.
Choosing the Right Spot for the Ideal Neighborhood for your Dream Home

Choosing Your Ideal Neighborhood
For many people, choosing a neighborhood is the most difficult part of the decision to buy a home. When you tackle that “location, location, location” question, it’s smart to prioritize various neighborhood features, then start looking for homes in areas that match most of your criteria. Here are some things to consider:

Transportation Realities and Options
Check the length of your commute to work from your neighborhoods of choice. Do streets get clogged at rush hour? Is mass transit within walking distance? In one consumer study, 79 percent of respondents said that a top priority in deciding where to live is having a commute time under 45 minutes. Seventy-five percent also wanted easy access to highways. Visit the neighborhood at different times of day and night and talk to as many local residents as possible.

Places of Interest Nearby
Research nearby schools, restaurants, places of worship, parks, etc. Seventy-two percent of survey respondents ranked sidewalks and places to walk as a top priority when considering where to live. Try going to HomePages.com — where you can view homes for sale and the nearest amenities on an interactive map.

Costs in Addition to the Mortgage
In addition to the costs of mortgage, insurance and home maintenance, consider local property taxes and homeowner association fees, if applicable.

What’s the Future of the Neighborhood?
Try to imagine what the neighborhood will look like in 10 years. Will you still want to live there, or do you expect to move before then? Will it be desirable to future buyers?

Once you’ve prioritized all your neighborhood amenities and features, you’ll find it’s much easier to focus your home search. Remember, the neighborhood is usually as important to the value of a home as what’s under its roof.

Sprucing up your garden is a way of accessorizing your home. Whether you live in an urban or rural neighborhood, it pays to make your green space friendly and appealing. Compact city gardens can still be successful with good design and thoughtful layout. Roof gardens in particular can be useful for saving energy. Villas with wider open spaces can serve as the playground of the imagination. Country homes reflect a more rustic spirit true to tradition. Details such as arbors, decks, hardscapes and fountains bring out the character of the space. If the landscape architects are clear about your requirements, gardens do not have to be time-consuming to maintain.
