If you are looking for an “ideal” neighborhood, I’d say, you can go right back where you came from. Why? Because nothing in life is perfect. Ergo, nothing is “ideal”. But finding the right neighborhood could mean a lot of things like, security, convenience, comfort or ambiance and a host of other things. Finding the right neighborhood is subjective. For the young, single homebuyers, a great neighborhood means an urban scenario close to theater, restaurants, the work and entertainment areas. Although cities have higher crime rates, they also have qualities which can be considered attractive like convenience and cultural venues and activities.
For those with families, an “ideal” neighborhood means an area with schools, church, children’s parks, zoos, water recreational facilities, children’s museums and groceries. A lower crime rate, less noise and traffic also goes with it. Prospective home buyers can get in touch with the homeowner’s association or they can talk to neighbors. To satisfy themselves regarding the safety of a particular neighborhood, they can go directly to the nearest police station and inquire about crime rate and security. Collate and process all pertinent information regarding the neighborhood. Finally, you can come up with your own decision. Remember, the neighborhood you’re buying into is as important as the value of the house you are buying. It is good advice to choose your neighborhood first before choosing a house.
