Why Bother with the Neighbors?

stormWell, let’s put it this way. You have an emergency in the middle of the night and the winter storm has the power out, the phone lines and cell sites are dead and your car won’t start, get the picture?
That’s how important your relationship with you and the other people in the neighborhood is for they are the only people you can ask help form in case you should need it. You don’t have to flood them with gifts or anything, a simple hello as you move in and an introduction would be nice, along with some weekend talks to know what’s to know around your home.
This would be very important especially when you and your spouse both work and all you have is the maid and your kids at home most of the time. Having a good relationship with your neighbors maintains a good feeling of community that allows you all to share and enjoy each others company and the safety that offers to all of you.
